Title
DRE and LUTS
Summary
Though the digital rectal exam (DRE) is a key component of prostate cancer screening, its utility in the workup of lower urinary tract symptoms is poorly understood. Nocturia is among the most bothersome lower urinary tract symptoms, and its multifactorial etiology requires broad clinical evaluation. Using data from the Prostate, Lung, Colorectal, and Ovarian (PLCO) Cancer Screening Trial, this study aims to assess the accuracy and reliability of DRE in estimating prostate size and to correlate these findings to the presence of nocturia.
Aims

1. To assess the accuracy and reliability of DRE in estimating prostate size
2. To correlate these findings to the presence of nocturia.
