The natural history and screen-detectability of lung cancer: estimates from NLST and the PLCO
The model used in this investigation is the MISCAN-Lung model, which was developed within the Cancer Intervention and Surveilance Modeling Network (CISNET). This model has been calibrated to both NLST and PLCO data within the CISNET/NLST/PLCO cooperative project. This paper aims to provide more details on the natural history and screening parameters estimated during the calibration.
1: To expand the knowledge on the natural history of lung cancer (by stage, histological type and gender) and the sensitivity of both CT and chest radiography (by stage and histological type)
2: To provide more insights in the workings of MISCAN-Lung
