Title
Comprehensive analyses of Fat Quality Index and incidence and mortality of lung cancer: A prospective cohort study
Summary
Fat quality index (FQI) has become a popular approach to assess dietary fat's effects on different health outcomes. For instance, previous research has explored the correlation between FQI and all-cause mortality(1), cardiovascular disease risk(2), and ovarian cancer patients survival(3). Crucially, to date, no studies have investigated the relationship between FQI and lung cancer incidence and mortality. Thus, given the aforementioned context, this study aims to explore the association between FQI and the incidence and mortality of total lung cancer and its different histological subtypes for the first time within the large, prospective Prostate, Lung, Colorectal, and Ovarian (PLCO) Cancer Screening Trial cohort.

Aims

Aims:
To investigate the prospective associations between FQI and incidence and mortality of lung cancer.
To explore the prospective associations between virous types of fats (including its different sources) and lung cancer outcomes among US population.
