Title
Competing risks model with application to lung cancer and breast cancer in PLCO

Summary
The purpose of the project is to study statistical methods to estimate the effects of covariates on lung and breast cancer risk in the presence of death from other causes in the PLCO study.

Aims

1. To illustrate the proposed method with application to lung and breast cancer in PLCO
2. To assess the effects of covariates on lung cancer risk and predict cumulative incidences from the nested case-control design with competing risks in PLCO
3. To apply the existing statistical methods to analyses of breast cancer data in PLCO and assess the effects of covariates on breast cancer risk
