Title
The Construction of an Intelligent Diagnosis Model for Chest X-ray and its Application in Community-based Lung Cancer Screening
Summary
We used PLCO's multiple rounds of lung cancer screening data to evaluate the association of progression and regression with the risks of LC incidence, LC mortality and all-cause mortality (project: PLCO-1090).
In most area in China, chest X-ray examination is still the main method of lung cancer screening, and the diagnostic accuracy of chest X-ray photography restricts the screening efficiency. At present, the application of artificial intelligence (AI), especially the deep learning method, has been widely used in medical image interpretation. The application of AI technology based on chest X-ray images in community lung cancer screening can automatically identify lung lesions at high speed and high precision, and improve the diagnostic accuracy of doctors in grassroots communities and remote areas. We constructed a lung cancer diagnosis model based on AI technology by using our own chest X-ray images data. Now, we want to further apply PLCO's chest X-ray images data for external verification of our lung cancer prediction model, and if possible, further explore the predictive ability of this model for chest X-ray progression (project: PLCO-1090).
