Title
Screening for ovarian cancer in women with a personal or family history of breast or ovarian cancer
Summary
We want to look at the effectiveness of screening for ovarian cancer in the subgroups of women in the PLCO trial with a personal or family history of breast or ovarian cancer. We aim to analyse ovarian cancer incidence, mortality and screening related harms in those subgroups of women.
Aims

We are developing a NICE clinical guideline on familial ovarian cancer: https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/indevelopment/gid-ng10225
We are looking for evidence comparing ovarian cancer screening with no screening in women with increased familial risk of ovarian cancer to inform this guideline.
This new analysis would be published as an appendix to the guideline and would be freely available.
