Title
The Last Breath: A data visualization on lung cancer diagnosis and morbidity

Summary
This project is part of my studies at the Biomedical Communications program at the University of Toronto. The goal of this project is to create a data visualization on a topic in healthcare or medicine. To achieve this goal, I would like to request the use of lung cancer data from NIH in order to be able to clean and manipulate the data for visualization. I would like to analyze and depict the correlation between the diagnosis of lung cancer to the severity of the disease and subsequent treatment plan in relation to the time until death. This project will be for educational purposes only and will take the form of an interactive web module. After the project, I plan to utilize my visualization piece in my portfolio.

Aims

• Receive data
• Clean data
• Manipulate data for visualization
• Build visualization sketches
• Create a comprehensive piece
• Refine visualization piece
