Title
Second-hand smoke (SHS) and mortality in never-smoking women

Summary
There is a new consortium at Oxford University being set up to study SHS smoke expsoure and mortality. To contribute to this symposium, I'd like to conduct several analyses on the SHS smoke variables that are available from the SQX. The endpoints would be all causes of death, IHS (ICD I20-25), Stroke (ICD I60-69), Lung Cancer (ICD C34), and Respiratory disease (ICD J00-99).
Models will be adjusted for age, BMI, and SES factors.

Aims

1. Examine association between SHS exposure during childhood and mortality (sqx question 55)
2. Examine association between SHS exposure during adulthood and mortality (sqx questions 56-57).
