Title
A simulation modeling study examining the downstream effects of follow-up schedules for screen-detected nodules
Summary
We will use a microsimulation model to investigate the effectiveness of the Lung-RADS guidelines for management of lung nodules detected by LDCT scans.
Aims
- Determine whether the Lung-RADS guidelines are optimal for follow-up and treatment of lung nodules
- Investigate modifications to Lung-RADS with the aim of improving effectiveness
- Examine the cost-effectiveness of Lung-RADS and other such sets of guidelines
- Formulate recommendations for lung nodule management
