Title
Genetic ancestry of African Americans who have been already genotyped in PLCO

Summary
We are conducting a study of individuals with varying degrees of African ancestry, including East Africans, West Africans, Africans from the Caribbean, African-Americans, Brazilians, etc. in order to determine the African diaspora across much of the globe. There are a number of PLCO subjects that were genotyped at CGR in various GWAS that were subsequently determined to have significant African ancestry (determined genetically, approximately 500 of them) and therefore excluded from GWAS analyses of Europeans and Asians. We would also like to ask that we are provided birth year for the subjects so we can calibrate likely admixture dates for each subject. This project will ultimately be published and is using thousands of individuals from both publicly-available sources and through collaborations with other academic investigators.

Aims

We would like to determine genetic admixture of African Americans in PLCO using already generated GWAS data.
