Project ID
PLCO-243
Initial CDAS Request Approval
Dec 1, 2016
Title
Assessment of Recurrent status, Tissue and DNA Core availability and Prostate pathology section status among men in the PLCO
Summary
This project will summarize the availability of prostate cancer cases who have provided genetic consent for tissue/DNA and have been selected for pathology with cores available for future testing, in conjunction with biochemical recurrence status. We will tabulate cases of each under various scenarios to gain a greater understanding for future studies of which men have tissue availability and for whom detailed information exists on biochemical recurrence status.
Aims

Aims
1. To examine the number of prostate cancer cases who have genetic consent, no prior history of any cancer, have DNA/Source material, were selected for Prostate Pathology and have Prostate DNA cores still available for future testing, stratified by biochemical recurrence status, age, race, stage, gleason primary and secondary score and underlying cause of death.
