Title
Survival analysis of ovarian cancer using control group in PLCO

Summary
The hypothesis of this study is that prospective serial evaluation of the ovary, adjacent adnexal areas and fallopian tubes using serial transvaginal ultrasonography will identify which abnormalities will resolve and thereby better distinguish benign from malignant structures so that death due to ovarian cancer will be reduced in the populations screened.

Aims

Primary Objective. To determine if improvements in overall and disease specific mortality occur as evidenced by survival and lower deaths due to ovarian cancer using data from the PLCO trial control arm especially with regard to incident cancers.
