Title
Analysis of genetic variants in genome-wide level of colorectal cancer in multiple populations
Summary
We aim to determine the comprehensive effects of genetic variants in susceptibility of colorectal cancer in multiple studies. We have previously conducted GWAS of colorectal cancer in Chinese and found some associated variants. Here we propose to use PLCO data and compare the GWAS datasets of colorectal cancer across various races and find the shared genetic risk factors. In addition, we will subsequently evaluate the effects of SNPs identified by our study in PLCO data and assess their genuine effects more comprehensively. We also plan to perform SNP-set and pathway analyses using PLCO data to provide novel perspective for interpretation of GWAS results. Therefore, we are requesting PLCO data of colorectal cancer to use in our analyses.
Aims
1.Analyze effects of genetic variants in genome-wide level of colorectal cancer in multiple populations
2.Detect effects of previously identified effective SNPs in PLCO data, as well as analyze their association with clinical features and prognosis.
3.Deep mining of PLCO data by SNP-set and pathway analyses.
