Title
Factors affecting post lead time survival in NLST participants

Summary
A recent publication by Pinsky et al (myself included) looked at the effect of screening upon lung cancer mortality by subgroups defined by age, sex and extent of smoking history. The analysis was further adjusted using pathologic stage. This project uses methodology developed by this author to investigate the effects of baseline and diagnostic information upon post lead time survival in an attempt to understand the mode whereby the effect of the LDCT screening lowered lung cancer mortality.

Aims

To estimate the effect of LDCT versus CXR according to age sex and pathologic grade upon post lead time cancer specific survival.
