Title
Quantification of Interstitial Lung Abnormalities Using Data from the National Lung Screening Trial
Summary
Interstitial lung abnormalities (ILA) have been associated with an increased risk of lung cancer and higher mortality rates. However, studies focusing on quantifying ILA using large-scale screening data are limited.
Aims
This study aims to determine the prevalence of ILA in all available CT scans from the National Lung Screening Trial. Additionally, quantitative thresholds for defining ILA will be assessed. Associations between ILA and various outcomes, including lung cancer incidence and mortality, will also be examined. Changes in ILA over time will be evaluated using T0, T1 and T2 scans.
