Title
Lung Cancer Screening, Cancers and Mortality Outcomes Among Hawaii's Asian and Pacific Islander Populations

Summary
As an NLST screening site, the Pacific Health Research and Education Institute collected additional detail about participant race and ethnicity, to better characterize Hawaii’s unique Asian and Pacific Islander populations. This data enables analyses by self reported identification with specific Asian groups, such as Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Filipino populations, with Hawaiian and other Pacific Islander populations, and mixed-race groups. In addition, data was also collected from participants about each of their parents’ race and ethnicity.

The objective of this proposed analysis is to describe and contrast the NLST screening patterns, cancer incidence and prevalence, and mortality outcomes among these Asian and Pacific Islander sub-populations participating in the NLST at the Hawaii site.
