Title
Can ct scan reduce the mortality of LC in COPD patients?
Summary
COPD is the risk factors of LC. LC is the complication of COPD. CT scan can reduce the mortality of LC. But Can ct scan reduce the mortality of LC in COPD patients?
Firstly, lung CT detection can provide high-resolution lung images, which helps doctors more accurately identify lung abnormalities, including early lesions of lung cancer. For COPD patients, as they already have lung diseases, they are more likely to become a high-risk group for lung cancer. Regular lung CT testing can detect early signs of lung cancer and take timely treatment measures.
Secondly, early detection of lung cancer is crucial for reducing mortality. The prognosis of lung cancer is closely related to the staging during diagnosis. The cure rate of early lung cancer is usually higher, while the treatment effect of late stage lung cancer is relatively poor. Therefore, through regular lung CT testing, COPD patients can be detected when lung cancer is still in its early stages, thus receiving more effective treatment and improving survival rates.
In addition, lung CT examination can also help doctors evaluate the progression of COPD patients and the effectiveness of treatment. By observing changes in lung structure and function, doctors can understand the disease status of COPD patients, develop more reasonable treatment plans, and monitor treatment outcomes. This helps COPD patients better control their condition and reduce the occurrence of complications, including lung cancer.

Aims
1.download the data of NLST and NLST-ACRIN.
2.compare the mortality of LC in X-ray arm and CT arm with COPD.
