Title
Development and validation of a pancreatic cancer risk prediction model
Summary
We plan to externally validate the PLCO pancreatic cancer risk prediction model and to further enhance it with data not available in the PLCO, such as occupational exposures, and updated smoking data from annual summary updates. Any prospective new prediction models resulting from NLST data will be internally validated using bootstrap estimation of “optimism” or overfit using Harrell’s software package “rms” in R.
