Title
Survival analysis in oncology clinical trial and its use in actuarial science
Summary
We expect that smoking status is an important factor in individuals survival probability, therefore the aim of this project is to study the effect of smoking status on the time from entering the trial until cancer diagnosis or death. The survival probability as well as expected survival time will be calculated by Kaplan-Meier estimator for each group. This study will also contain comparision of survival probability between selected groups. Obtained survival probability will be used in illustrative life insurance premium calculation. We will examine the impact of smoking status on the amount of the insurance premium.

The results of this project will be summarized in a thesis for completion of PhD´s studies in Data science in Economics at the University of Economics in Bratislava.
Aims
