Title
A systematic evaluation of dietary and behavioral factors associated with ovarian cancer risk and survival
Summary
Ovarian cancer, as one of the most lethal gynecological malignancy, is also called the “silent lady killer”, since clinical symptoms arise relatively late. Recently, diet and behavior has been suggested to be important modifiable risk factors of ovarian cancer. Identifying risk and protective factors of ovarian cancer can contributed to the prevention of ovarian cancer and detection at an early stage, which could potentially improve its survival.
Therefore, we plan to perform a systematic evaluation of dietary and behavioral factors associated with ovarian cancer incidence and survival.
Aims

1) We aim to explore the potential relationship between dietary and behavioral factors and ovarian cancer incidence and mortality. The interested exposures would include NSAID use, oral contraceptive, body mass index, physical activity, smoking, alcohol consumption, fruits, vegetables, nutrition supplements, and dietary minerals.
2) If serum biomarkers (e.g., CA125) data of ovarian caner cases are available, we plan to include the serum biomarkers into the systematic evaluation of the effects of multiple dietary and behavioral factors with the survival of RCC patients.
