Title
Reconstruction of 3D Thoracic CT Volumes from Single Plane Thoracic CTs
Summary
We want to explore how to effectively reconstruct three-dimensional annotated CT volumes in machine readable format, from single plane unannotated thoracic CT scans in DICOM format. We intend to design a tool to generate synthetic annotated 3D CT volumes, so that annotations on the primary plane, can be visualised in secondary and tertiary planes.
Aims
- Use NLST DICOM CT volumes to generate synthetic 3D CT volumes
- Compare synthetic 3D CT volumes to actual NLST volumes to determine accuracy of tool
- Annotate NLST DICOM CT volumes in primary plane
- Process annotated files to visualise annotations in (synthetically generated) secondary and tertiary planes
