Title
Criteria for Predicting Histology of Endoscopic ACF
Summary
Aberrant crypt foci (ACF) have emerged as a potential biomarker for colorectal carcinoma. High magnification chromoscopic colonoscopy (HMCC) can identify ACF in vivo. However, there are a number of criteria used to describe ACF endoscopically, resulting in wide variability in the reported prevalence rates of ACF. Studies of the validity of ACF assessment in relation to histologic diagnosis and studies of reproducibility across endoscopists are lacking. This study assesses methods for predicting the histologic diagnosis of ACF on the basis of various endoscopic ACF characteristics
Aims

Specific Aim 1: To describe endoscopic characteristics of ACF that can be used to predict histologic findings 2. To quantify the predictive ability of the above characteristics with respect to histologic outcome.
