Title
Association between race and follow-up diagnostic care after a positive lung cancer screening test in the National Lung Cancer Screening Trial
Summary
Data from previous large set screening trials like the prostate, lung, colorectal, and ovarian cancer screening trial have demonstrated racial disparities in the rates of follow-up diagnostic testing in prostate cancer. We speculate that similar disparities may be found in lung cancer. This project will explore this topic in an effort to bring awareness to care providers.
Aims
Explore the existence of racial, gender, and age disparities in follow-up diagnostic testing after a positive lung cancer screening test in the national lung cancer screening trial.
