Study of Colonoscopy Utilization (SCU)
Summary
SCU examines surveillance colonoscopy utilization and outcome by PLCO participants, that is colonoscopy which follows screening and diagnostic examinations.
Aims
1) To describe the use of surveillance colonoscopy practice in the community; 2) To evaluate the yield of surveillance colonoscopy in terms of detection of adenomas, advanced adenomas, and colorectal cancers; 3) To examine the demographic, clinical, and endoscopic factors that may be associated with detection of advanced adenomas and colorectal cancer on surveillance colonoscopy
