Title
Application of NLST-calibrated Microsimulation Model
Summary
The MGH Lung Cancer Policy Model (LCPM) was used as part of the Cancer Intervention and Surveillance Modeling Network (CISNET) consortium as part of a comparative modeling effort along with four other institutions (Stanford University, University of Michican, Erasmus Medical Center, and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center) to calibrate our models to the NLST data, validate to the PLCO, and inform the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force prior to their recent update on national lung screening guidelines.
Aims

As an extension to our CISNET objectives, we aim to further use the NLST data and NLST-calibrated LCPM to estimate the trade-off between benefits and potential radiation risks in the USPSTF-recommended screening programs as well as other related analyses
