HSQ Validation Study
Summary
Participants who are part of an HMO (Henry Ford, and possibly Marshfield and Hawaii) will have medical records available that document whether exams reported on the HSQ have occurred. We plan to compare the medical records for these participants with their self-report on the HSQ, to determine the sensitivity and specificity of self-report, using the medical record as the gold standard.
Aims
1) To determine the sensitivity and specificity of self-report of exams listed on the HSQ compared to medical records available within the HMO setting at Henry Ford Health System (also possibly Marshfield and Hawaii). Of particular interest are those exams that are part of the PLCO protocol. The time frame can be "ever/never" as well as to look at specific time intervals.
