Title
Dietary factors, anthropometric measurements, hormonal influences, drug use, and lifestyle factors in relation to colorectal cancer risk.
Summary
Colorectal cancer ranks as the third most common cancer diagnosis globally and stands as the second highest contributor to cancer-associated deaths worldwide. Given the significant burden of colorectal cancer (CRC), identifying its risk factors and implementing effective interventions are of critical importance to public health. The PLCO cohort gathered extensive data on a wide range of variables, including demographic characteristics, anthropometric measurements, dietary habits, lifestyle factors, reproductive history, personal exposures, and disease outcomes. This comprehensive dataset enables a thorough and multifaceted analysis of the risk factors associated with the development of colorectal cancer.
Aims

We evaluated the associations between dietary habits, lifestyles, anthropometric measures, physical activity levels, exogenous hormone use, reproductive and menstrual factors, drug use, and the incidence or mortality of colorectal cancer. These analyses were conducted using Cox proportional-hazard model, while adjusting for various residual confounding factors.
