Title
X-Ray based lung cancer screening project might increase the incidence of lung cancer
Summary
Lung cancer is one of the most prevalent cases worldwide. Compared with advanced stage lung cancer patients, patients at early stage have better prognosis. Although current lung cancer screening guidelines suggested using low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) to screen lung cancer, some of the regions still use X-ray to screen lung cancer. X-ray based screening not only miss a majority of early stage lung cancer patients but also could add the screening person’s lung cancer risk. In this project, we would like use the PLCO dataset to examine whether X-ray based lung cancer screening method increase the risk of lung cancer.
Aims
To examine whether X-ray based lung cancer screening method increase the risk of lung cancer.
