Summary
The purpose of image processing here is to make it easy for the computer to identify possible lesions and to enable the computer to identify lesions and suspicious structures from a complex anatomical background. Usually DR, CT or MRI images are used for this process. Different image processing and computational methods are required for different lesions. The basic principle is that image enhancement and image filtering can be achieved better and that the computer can separate and display suspicious lesions from the normal anatomical background through the above designed processing. The data information of the obtained image signs is input into various mathematical or statistical calculations such as artificial neuron networks to form a CAD diagnostic system. Using the diagnostic system, it is possible to classify and process the lesions and thus distinguish various lesions, i.e., to achieve the diagnosis of diseases.
