Title
Analysis of Family History Links between Endometrial Cancer and Prostate Cancer
Summary
The pathogenesis of endometrial cancer, prostate cancer, and breast cancer are all related to hormones. Many studies have found that women with breast cancer tend to have a higher risk of developing endometrial cancer subsequently. And some previous studies have also illustrated that patients with a family of prostate cancer were more likely to develop breast cancer. However, to our knowledge, few studies have investigated the association between patients with a family history of prostate cancer and the incidence of endometrial cancer and a similar result with the other way around.
Here, we propose a hypothesis that female participants with a family history of prostate cancer in an FDR were more likely to develop endometrial cancer and vice versa. To verify this hypothesis, we hope to use the Supplemental Questionnaire (SQX) Datasets from PLCO Cancer Screening Trial to perform a secondary analysis.
Aims

(1) To examine the association of female patients with a family history of prostate cancer in an FDR and the incidence of endometrial cancer.
(2) To examine the association of male patients with a family history of endometrial cancer in an FDR and the incidence of prostate cancer.
