Predict site-specific and multiple cancer risk through cohort study data of NLST
Summary
Specific type of cancer can be attributed to multiple risk factors and multiple cancers share the same risk factors. It is important to investigate the association of wide spectrum of risk factors and site-specific cancer and multiple cancers using high quality data of prospective cohort study. We aim to predict risk of site specific and multiple cancer attributed to associated risk factor leveraging the well-designed and performed NLST study.
Aims
Specific aim 1: we will a pooled analysis to investigate the association of each possible risk factor and the incidence and mortality of multiple cancers.
Specific aim 2: we develop multiple cancers risk prediction models using available data from questionnaire survey, clinical examination, and images, such as CT and X ray using routine statistical method and machine learning algorithm.
