Title
Copper intake and primary liver cancer incidence and survival in the Prostate, Lung, Colorectal and Ovarian Cancer Screening Trial
Summary
Some studies found serum copper level was associated with the incidence of primary liver cancer (PLC), but whether copper intake from diet and supplement was associated with the PLC incidence and survival has not been reported. In our study, we aimed to use the PLCO data to explore the relationship of copper intake and the PLC incidence and survival. Cox regression was employed to calculate hazard ratios for PLC incidence and competing risk regression was employed to calculate subdistribution hazard ratios for PLC survival.
Aims

1. To clarify whether higher copper intake from diet and supplements was associated with lower risks of PLC incidence and mortality in the US population.
2. To provide suggestions for the prevention of primary liver cancer.
